Past Events

Friday, March 23-Sunday, March 25, 2012: 2012 LPIN State Convention
The 2012 state convention was held in Indianapolis, IN on March 23-25 at the Carribbean Cove Hotel and Water Park. Guests of the event were speakers Sharon Harris (President of the Advocates for Self-Government), Robert Enlow (President and CEO of The Foundation for Educational Choice), and George Okantey (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, CPLP), with musical guest Jordon Page. This was a great way for Libertarian-minded people to get together and have fun, while also discussing important business! Besides the LPIN Business meeting, there were training workshops and a Straw Poll for our potential Libertarian presidential candidates. Gary Johnson, former two-term governer of New Mexico, won the Straw Poll.

April 15, 2010 r3VOLution!: For those who attended the April 15 r3VOLution rally on the Laf/West Laf pedestrian bridge, it was quite an event! The highlight of the event was our keynote speaker, Jacob Hornberger, founder and president of The Future of Freedom Foundation! He was awesome! He did an excellent job of expressing Libertarian principles and concerns to the crowd, and we are so grateful that he saw fit to travel here from Virginia to speak to us! Click here to read Jacob Hornberger's Blog about the Purdue visit. We also had speeches from Randy Young, our local chapter secretary, and John Duncan, our candidate for Congressional House District 4.The event was followed by the CIA (Citizens in Action) Tea Party, which was a great success, as well. The local Libertarian Party had a table set up through both events, and we passed out literature and spoke with many interested people. We hope to see them at our upcoming meetings!
